His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of the Republic, and the Muftis of the regions visit the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, and the Muftis of the Lebanese regions visited the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh in Jeddah. The media office of Dar al-Fatwa reported that the discussions focused on religious affairs and strengthening the brotherly relations between the two countries in general and the Islamic institutions in particular. Minister Al-Sheikh emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to ensuring Lebanon's safety and stability, especially in the current circumstances it is facing, and reiterated that the Kingdom has always stood by Lebanon and its people. He also stressed the importance of Islamic religious institutions in Lebanon being a source of hope and life for all Lebanese.
In turn, Mufti Derian thanked Minister Al-Sheikh for inviting him and the Muftis to visit the Kingdom of Goodness and Humanity, affirming that the Kingdom is the primary and continuous supporter of the Lebanese state's recovery and its institutions. He emphasized that Lebanon is going through critical and decisive times that require the Lebanese people to endure, be patient, persevere, and unite to preserve the entity of the state that embraces all its citizens. His Eminence informed Minister Al-Sheikh that Dar al-Fatwa and other sister institutions in Lebanon will remain a stronghold for Islamic existence and the national Arab role with a moderate, balanced thought, especially in light of the distortion that Islam and Muslims are subjected to by ideas that have no connection to their faith and their civilizational message.
Mufti Derian and his accompanying delegation visited Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, prayed in the Prophet's Mosque, and greeted Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at the noble Rawdah and his companions Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq and Omar Ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them). They also visited the Museum of the Prophet's Biography and saw the pioneering work that embodied the Prophet's biography in the highest presentation, introducing the community to the Prophet Muhammad and his fragrant biography. They then headed to the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur'an, where contemporary technologies serve the Holy Qur'an for Arab Muslims and others, and translations of the meanings of the Qur'an's verses into all the world's languages. They concluded their visit to Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah by visiting the site of the Battle of Uhud, recalling its martyrs whose sacrifices continue to bless the nation today, along with the best of creation, Muhammad (peace be upon him). They also prayed in the Quba Mosque following the noble prophetic tradition.
