The Mufti Khalil Al-Mays Football Tournament concluded under the patronage of the Mufti of Zahle and Bekaa

The final match of the late Mufti Sheikh Khalil Al-Mays Football Tournament was concluded on Sunday, August 25, 2024, under the patronage of the Mufti of Zahle and Bekaa, Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazawi, at the Al-Hodood Club Stadium in Majdal Anjar, organized by the Youth Committee of Dar Al-Fatwa.
The match was overseen by the Bekaa Football Sub-Association and was attended by a large number of prominent religious and social figures, including the Head of the Bekaa Awqaf Department, Sheikh Assem Al-Jarrah, the Supervisor of the Youth Committee of Dar Al-Fatwa, Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Halim, the Mayor of Majdal Anjar, Mr. Adnan Fahmy Yassin, the Coordinator of the Future Movement in Bekaa, Mr. Saeed Yassin, the family of the late Mufti Sheikh Khalil Al-Mays, as well as a group of scholars, sheikhs, and community leaders.
In the final match, Al-Ghad Al-Afdal Club faced off against Gaza Sports Club, with Al-Ghad Al-Afdal Club winning first place and lifting the tournament cup, while Gaza Sports Club secured second place.
During the closing ceremony, the official sponsor of the tournament, Mr. Ayman Abu Haikal, was honored, along with the entities that contributed to the success of the tournament, including:
- The Bekaa Football Sub-Association
- Al-Hodood Club, the tournament host, represented by its president, Mr. Mohammad Hamza
- The Municipality of Majdal Anjar, represented by its president, Mr. Adnan Fahmy Yassin
- The family of the late Mufti, represented by Dr. Jamal Al-Mays and his family, and Mrs. Mariam Khalil Al-Mays
- The Muslim Scouts in Majdal Anjar (Al-Ameen Troop)

The event concluded with a speech by His Eminence, Mufti Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazawi, who praised the efforts of the organizing committee and emphasized the importance of sports in strengthening community relationships.
