Annual graduation ceremony for the year 2023 at Azhar Al-Bekaa

  • Under the patronage and attendance of His Eminence, the Grand Mufti of Zahle and the Bekaa, Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazawi, the administration of Azhar Al-Biqa held a graduation ceremony for its students who earned both official and religious certificates in the intermediate and secondary stages. The event was attended by His Eminence, the Mufti of Baalbek-Hermel, Sheikh Ayman Al-Rifai, representing Dr. Sheikh Ameer Al-Ghaz, the religious inspector in Baalbek. Also present were His Eminence, the Mufti of Rashaya, Dr. Wafik Hajjazi, represented by Sheikh Ibrahim Hussein, and the advisor to President Saad Hariri, Mr. Ali Al-Haj. Others in attendance included the head of the Bekaa Endowments Department, Sheikh Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Dean Dr. Mohammed Abu Ali, Judge Dr. Younes Abdul Razzaq, and Mr. Ahmed Al-Hariri, representing the Mayor of Majdal Anjar and the Future Movement Coordinator in the Middle Bekaa, Hajj Saeed Yassin. The event was attended by a crowd of locals, scholars, Bekaa activists, judges, and municipal leaders.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by the Azhari student Mashhoor Al-Majzoub, followed by a welcoming address from Sheikh Omar Janbayeh, the administrative director at Azhar Al-Biqa, expressing greetings to the attendees.

The graduates' speech was delivered by the outstanding Azhari student Safa Hassan Al-Saada from the Arts and Humanities branch. She expressed gratitude to the school and her family for their support and assistance in her journey of excellence and success.

Sheikh Mohammed Abdul Rahman, the director of Bekaa Endowments, then delivered a speech on behalf of the teachers, praising the efforts of the male and female teachers and the administration of Azhar Al-Bekaa.

The Grand Mufti, in his address, welcomed the audience and the parents, expressing pride in the students of Azhar. He emphasized that Azhar Al-Biqa is a place for the exceptional and distinguished, quoting the late Mufti Sheikh Khalil Al-Meiss: 'O graduates, you were ambassadors of your people to us, and today you are ambassadors of the institution to your people. In fact, you are ambassadors of the institution to the nation.' He added, 'Only the exceptional graduate from Azhar because this institution was built to produce leaders, and whoever wants a leader, Azhar is the place.'

In conclusion, certificates were distributed to the graduates. Congratulations to our students; we ask Allah to make them beneficial to the country and its people.
