Handicrafts Exhibition in Support of Gaza Children

The Azhar Al-Biqa Association, in collaboration with the Women's Committee at Dar Al-Fatwa Al-Biqa, organized a handicrafts exhibition titled: "Gaza Pleads for You" in support of Gaza's children. The event took place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in Azhar Al-Biqa, with the presence of the Grand Mufti of Zahle and the Biqa Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazawi, the CEO of Azhar Al-Biqa Sheikh Bashar Abu Shahin, the Project Manager for Azhar Al-Biqa Sheikh Mohammad Al-Mohammad, the Administrative Director in the institutions of Azhar Al-Biqa Sheikh Omar Janbayeh, and the Head of the Endowments Department in Al-Biqa Sheikh Mohammad Abdul Rahman, among others.
The event began with a presentation by Sheikh Mohammad Abdel Fattah, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Sheikh Mohammad Al-Shamouri. The Women's Committee delivered a speech expressing their support for the nation's cause and addressing the steadfast fighters in Jerusalem.
The Grand Mufti of Zahle and the Biqa, Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazawi, thanked Azhar Al-Biqa Association for its significant efforts in managing the exhibition. He expressed gratitude to the Women's Committee for their cooperation in organizing the event.
He added, "Because it is our cause, and Jerusalem is a trust around our necks, a trust of the time of Omar, and a trust for the patriarchs between the Church of the Resurrection and the Church of the Nativity, a trust around the necks of the nation. Return the trust to its people."
The exhibition featured handmade crafts, from pottery to handmade crafts to accessories and some clothing reflecting Palestinian heritage. Donations were collected to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza, providing them with medicine, food, and clothing.
