Opening of the Azhar Al-Bekaa Hall for Eid Hospitality

Under the theme "Buy Your Hospitality and Support Your Institution," the Women's Committee of the Dar Al-Fatwa Bekaa organized the Azhar Hall Eid Hospitality Project on Sunday, June 9, 2024, under the patronage and presence of His Eminence Mufti of Zahle and the Bekaa, Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Ghazzawi, His Excellency the Brazilian Consul, Siham Al-Harati, the wife of His Excellency Minister Bou Shikyan, Ursula Al-Saghir, Paula Assi, the educational director Mrs. Maryam Khalil Al-Mais, the head of the Women's Committee Mrs. Shukran Hamid, and members of the Women's Committee, along with a group of esteemed scholars, preachers, residents, community leaders, and mayors.

The event was hosted by Miss Houria Saadi and began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the Azhar student Taha Madi.

Mrs. Shukran Hamid, head of the Women's Committee, spoke about the activities and movements of the Women's Committee since its inception and said: "When a woman wants and understands that she wants, she can achieve it."

Her Excellency the Consul also delivered a speech, thanking His Eminence and the committee for their efforts, wishing continuous success for the Women's Committee, and emphasizing the importance of women's role in society.

Mufti Al-Ghazzawi gave a welcoming speech to the attendees, remembering the late Mufti Khalil Al-Mais, may Allah have mercy on him, expressing his loyalty and sincerity towards him. He thanked the Women's Committee for their tremendous efforts and ongoing activities in serving the community.

He said, "Today, the Women's Committee barely closes one activity before opening another, as if to say to us, 'I am a mother who does not know fatigue.'"

Regarding the recent developments, His Eminence affirmed: "We say from the land of Majdal Anjar, this town that hosts our largest Islamic institutions, that those who set the Eid table from the land of Majdal Anjar can set the table of security and peace in every country."

This hall was distinguished by a variety of sweets in different shapes and types, including various healthy sweets.
